Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In July last year Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Cat Burglar by Patrick Nagel. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 29,641.25). Admittedly, works by Patrick Nagel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kristen in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cat Burglar von Patrick Nagel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.240,00 (€ 29.641,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Nagel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kristen im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43).
