Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Playboy Advisor), 1982 by Patrick Nagel for USD 3,585.00 (€ 2,845.92). This price was achieved in the auction PLAYBOY AT 50 at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Nagel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kristen in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Playboy Advisor), 1982 von Patrick Nagel für USD 3.585,00 (€ 2.845,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PLAYBOY AT 50 bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Nagel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kristen im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43).
