Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Patrick Nagel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Study for Untitled sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,872.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Nagel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kristen in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Nagel erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Study for Untitled für USD 43.750,00 (€ 37.872,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Nagel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kristen im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43).
