Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Patrick Nagel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled, Playboy December 1983 sold for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,083.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Nagel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kristen, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Nagel erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled, Playboy December 1983 für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.083,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Nagel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kristen beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43) versteigert wurde.
