Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Os Gêmeos was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Featuring Property from an Important Private European Collection Afternoon Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 74,500.00 (€ 51,822.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Os Gêmeos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amigo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Os Gêmeos wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Featuring Property from an Important Private European Collection Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 74.500,00 (€ 51.822,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Os Gêmeos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amigo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44) versteigert wurde.
