Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Lloyd could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Haystacks changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 527.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Lloyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rural Idyll in August 2001 with an auction result of AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,410.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Lloyd konnte im April 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Haystacks für GBP 360,00 (€ 527,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Lloyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rural Idyll im August 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 5.875,00 (€ 3.410,60).
