This artwork by Norman Lloyd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2003. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Figures gathered before an Islamic town sold for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,096.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Lloyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural Idyll, which sold at auction in August 2001 for AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,410.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Lloyd erzielte im August 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Figures gathered before an Islamic town für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.096,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Lloyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural Idyll beobachtet, die im August 2001 für AUD 5.875,00 (€ 3.410,60) versteigert wurde.
