In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work House of Victor Hugo, Place des Vosges, Paris by Norman Lloyd. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 937.50 (€ 1,346.31), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Lloyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural Idyll, which sold at auction in August 2001 for AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,410.60).

Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit House of Victor Hugo, Place des Vosges, Paris von Norman Lloyd zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.346,31) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Lloyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural Idyll beobachtet, die im August 2001 für AUD 5.875,00 (€ 3.410,60) versteigert wurde.
