A top price for Norman Lloyd - as previously expected
The work Rural Idyll by Norman Lloyd was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The price achieved of AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,410.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Rural Idyll is the most expensive artwork by Norman Lloyd that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Rural Idyll von Norman Lloyd kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 5.875,00 (€ 3.410,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Rural Idyll das teuerste Kunstwerk von Norman Lloyd, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
