This price was achieved in the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionThe Artist's Eye at Bonhams in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Norman Lloyd; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Rural Idyll sold at auction in August 2001 with the realized price of AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,410.60).
