This artwork by Norman Lloyd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in May 2001. In the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction, the work Lake Scene with Boat sold for AUD 1,880.00 (€ 1,126.89) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Lloyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural Idyll, which sold at auction in August 2001 for AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,410.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Lloyd erzielte im Mai 2001 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Lake Scene with Boat für AUD 1.880,00 (€ 1.126,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Lloyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural Idyll beobachtet, die im August 2001 für AUD 5.875,00 (€ 3.410,60) versteigert wurde.
