Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nir Hod achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Genius sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,579.18) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nir Hod - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Life We Left Behind, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,328.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nir Hod erzielte im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Genius für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.579,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nir Hod mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Life We Left Behind beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.328,34) versteigert wurde.
