This artwork by Nick Cave achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Soundsuit sold for USD 150,000.00 (€ 136,128.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nick Cave; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Soundsuit sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of USD 189,000.00 (€ 154,994.26).

In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Soundsuit für USD 150.000,00 (€ 136.128,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nick Cave; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Soundsuit im Mai 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 154.994,26).
