Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Soundsuit by Nick Cave. The price achieved of USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,184.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Nick Cave have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Soundsuit was auctioned for USD 189,000.00 (€ 154,994.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Soundsuit von Nick Cave zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.184,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Nick Cave konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Soundsuit für USD 189.000,00 (€ 154.994,26) versteigert.
