Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Neil Jenney could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work North American Vegetae changed hands for USD 209,000.00 (€ 160,917.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Jenney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Threat and Sanctuary in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 965,000.00 (€ 866,636.73).
