Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Misaki Kawai could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Part I and Part II auction, the work Pet Jet changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,758.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Misaki Kawai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jungle Love in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,983.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Misaki Kawai konnte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II wechselte die Arbeit Pet Jet für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.758,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Misaki Kawai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jungle Love im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.983,48).
