Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Mira Schendel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,365.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mira Schendel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, From The Series Droguinhas (Little Nothings) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,346,119.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mira Schendel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.365,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mira Schendel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, From The Series Droguinhas (Little Nothings) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.346.119,62).
