Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Sem Título by Mira Schendel. The price achieved of USD 81,900.00 (€ 67,164.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mira Schendel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, From The Series Droguinhas (Little Nothings) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,346,119.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sem Título von Mira Schendel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 67.164,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mira Schendel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, From The Series Droguinhas (Little Nothings) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.346.119,62).
