Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Self Portrait S-2 by Michael Bevilacqua for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,936.17). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Bevilacqua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hallelujah: It's a Girl, which sold at auction in May 2009 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,467.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self Portrait S-2 von Michael Bevilacqua für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.936,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Bevilacqua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hallelujah: It's a Girl beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.467,65) versteigert wurde.
