Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Bevilacqua could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Fantomas Returns changed hands for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,224.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Bevilacqua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hallelujah: It's a Girl in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,467.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Bevilacqua konnte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Fantomas Returns für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.224,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Bevilacqua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hallelujah: It's a Girl im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.467,65).
