Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Michael Bevilacqua was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,920.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Bevilacqua achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hallelujah: It's a Girl in May 2009 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,467.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael Bevilacqua im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.920,56) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Bevilacqua erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hallelujah: It's a Girl im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.467,65).
