Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Rough Trade; Hard Boiled; Cut Throat; Piss Take; Push Over; and Rock Hard by Matthew Brannon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,373.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Matthew Brannon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Other People'S Money; People Who Divide People in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,940.26).
