Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matthew Brannon could be acquired at Christies in New York in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work R.S.V.P. changed hands for USD 504.00 (€ 471.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Brannon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Other People'S Money; People Who Divide People in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,940.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthew Brannon konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit R.S.V.P. für USD 504,00 (€ 471,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Brannon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Other People'S Money; People Who Divide People im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.940,26).
