In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work Ready or Not by Matthew Brannon. The auction ended at the price of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,675.60), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Brannon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Other People'S Money; People Who Divide People in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,940.26).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im August 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ready or Not von Matthew Brannon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.675,60) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Brannon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Other People'S Money; People Who Divide People im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.940,26).
