Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Mary Corse was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Corse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 5,000,000.00 (€ 527,391.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mary Corse kam im September 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Corse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.000.000,00 (€ 527.391,66).
