This artwork by Mary Corse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Untitled (White Multiband with White Sides, Beveled) sold for USD 441,000.00 (€ 375,542.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mary Corse; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of HKD 5,000,000.00 (€ 527,391.66).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mary Corse; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 5.000.000,00 (€ 527.391,66).
