It achieved a price of USD 140,200.00 (€ 128,529.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Admittedly, works by Mary Corse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 5,000,000.00 (€ 527,391.66).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Black Grid) (16 SQ.) von Mary Corse kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 140.200,00 (€ 128.529,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mary Corse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.000.000,00 (€ 527.391,66).
