This artwork by Mary Corse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2020. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Untitled (White Black with Black Light) sold for USD 112,500.00 (€ 102,003.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mary Corse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 5,000,000.00 (€ 527,391.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mary Corse erzielte im März 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Untitled (White Black with Black Light) für USD 112.500,00 (€ 102.003,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mary Corse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (White/Black Inner Band Beveled) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.000.000,00 (€ 527.391,66).
