Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Lady Verdigris Of The Condor I (Lady Lazarus, Homenaje A Sylvia Plath) by Martín Chirino. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 46,850.00 (€ 51,830.82), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Martín Chirino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Viento in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 226,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady Verdigris Of The Condor I (Lady Lazarus, Homenaje A Sylvia Plath) von Martín Chirino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 51.830,82) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martín Chirino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Viento im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 226.800,00.
