Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Indian by Marisol Escobar for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,815.63). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marisol Escobar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Andy in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Indian von Marisol Escobar für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.815,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marisol Escobar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Andy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
