Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Equinoccio by Mario Carreño was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 112,117.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Carreño achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cortadores De Caña in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,368,444.48).
