Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Diálogo rojo y negro by Mario Carreño. It changed hands for a price of USD 189,000.00 (€ 170,377.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Carreño achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cortadores De Caña in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,368,444.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Diálogo rojo y negro von Mario Carreño zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 170.377,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Carreño erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cortadores De Caña im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.368.444,48).
