The work Shareer by Lynda Benglis was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 201,600.00 (€ 187,866.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Admittedly, works by Lynda Benglis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moretti in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,071,000.00 (€ 998,043.05).

Die Arbeit Shareer von Lynda Benglis wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 187.866,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynda Benglis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moretti im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.071.000,00 (€ 998.043,05).
