Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Artforum vol. 13, no. 3 by Lynda Benglis for USD 635.00 (€ 575.18). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynda Benglis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moretti in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,071,000.00 (€ 998,043.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Artforum vol. 13, no. 3 von Lynda Benglis für USD 635,00 (€ 575,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynda Benglis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moretti im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.071.000,00 (€ 998.043,05).
