Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Lucas Arruda was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 252,000.00 (€ 206,659.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucas Arruda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled from the series Deserto-Modelo, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 3,780,000.00 (€ 420,297.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lucas Arruda kam im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 206.659,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucas Arruda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled from the series Deserto-Modelo beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 3.780.000,00 (€ 420.297,69) versteigert wurde.
