Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louise Fishman could be acquired at Christies in New York in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,278.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Fishman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Burnt Bridges in March last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 181,736.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Fishman konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 8.820,00 (€ 8.278,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Fishman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Burnt Bridges im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 181.736,23).
