In May last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Door to the Studio by Louise Fishman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,915.85), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Fishman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Burnt Bridges in March last year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 181,736.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Door to the Studio von Louise Fishman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.915,85) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Fishman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Burnt Bridges im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 181.736,23).
