The auction ended at the price of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,323.69), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lothar Hempel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Casanova in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,295.24).
