The work Low by Lothar Hempel was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,323.69), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lothar Hempel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Casanova in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,295.24).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Low von Lothar Hempel kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.323,69) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lothar Hempel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Casanova im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.295,24).
