A top price for Lothar Hempel - as previously expected
The work Casanova by Lothar Hempel was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2010. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,295.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Casanova is the most expensive artwork by Lothar Hempel that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Casanova von Lothar Hempel wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.295,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Casanova das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lothar Hempel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
