Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vorwärts (Forward) by Lothar Hempel was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,315.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lothar Hempel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casanova, which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,295.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vorwärts (Forward) von Lothar Hempel kam im März 2013 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.315,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lothar Hempel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casanova beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.295,24) versteigert wurde.
