The »bidding war« ended at EUR 875.00 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lothar Baumgarten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images, 1968-1972 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,912.55).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 875,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lothar Baumgarten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images, 1968-1972 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 20.912,55).
