Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Goldstaub (Gold Dust) by Lothar Baumgarten was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,342.97). Admittedly, works by Lothar Baumgarten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images, 1968-1972 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,912.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Goldstaub (Gold Dust) von Lothar Baumgarten kam im September 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.342,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lothar Baumgarten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images, 1968-1972 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 20.912,55).
