This work of art by Liza Lou could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Dog changed hands for USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,613.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liza Lou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Vessel in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).
