In June 2021 VAN HAM held the auction From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection, which included the work Self Portrait, No. 2 (The Heretic) by Liza Lou. Here, the estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 33,540.00. Admittedly, works by Liza Lou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Vessel in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte VAN HAM die Auktion From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self Portrait, No. 2 (The Heretic) von Liza Lou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 33.540,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liza Lou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Vessel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 333.509,79).
