This artwork by Liza Lou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Cereal Bowl, 1992; Spoon and Plate, 1993 sold for USD 16,575.00 (€ 15,013.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liza Lou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vessel in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liza Lou erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Cereal Bowl, 1992; Spoon and Plate, 1993 für USD 16.575,00 (€ 15.013,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liza Lou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vessel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 333.509,79).
