Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Like New by Liza Lou was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art and Design Day Sale in association with Phillips auction at POLY in Hong Kong in June 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 604,800.00 (€ 65,696.96), 21% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liza Lou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Vessel in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Like New von Liza Lou wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art and Design Day Sale in association with Phillips bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 604.800,00 (€ 65.696,96) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liza Lou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Vessel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 333.509,79).
