Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liza Lou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Post War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Smacks sold for USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,444.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liza Lou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Vessel in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 333,509.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liza Lou erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Smacks für USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.444,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liza Lou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Vessel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 333.509,79).
