Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kathryn Andrews could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Three Bears (1944-2014) changed hands for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,392.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kathryn Andrews - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Two Works), which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 31,897.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kathryn Andrews konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Three Bears (1944-2014) für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.392,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kathryn Andrews mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Two Works) beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 31.897,44) versteigert wurde.
