The work Time's Will by José Parlá was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Parlá - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx, which sold at auction in June last year for HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 214,665.78).

Die Arbeit Time's Will von José Parlá wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von José Parlá mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 214.665,78) versteigert wurde.
