Auction result well in line with expectations
The work DeKalb Avenue Station by José Parlá was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The price achieved of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 88,712.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Parlá - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx, which sold at auction in June last year for HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 214,665.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit DeKalb Avenue Station von José Parlá wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 88.712,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von José Parlá mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 214.665,78) versteigert wurde.
